My life has finally calmed down…well until Monday when I get the keys to my new apartment and have to start the moving process but until then my number one focus is my training. I am running a marathon in January so; needless to say, I have A LOT of training to do between now and then. My goal for this race is to finish under 4 hours. I have only run one full before and my time was 4:34. I have faith in myself that I can achieve my goal time.
It has rained so much this month and there is no sign of it slowing down so I had to come to terms with the fact that I am going to get dirty when I run. (Not a big fan of running through puddles and mud) I took a new trail today and ran more on the bayou and sidewalk. My puddles weren’t too bad and there wasn’t too much mud so I am sticking to this trail for a while. I ran a little short of 4 miles (due to thunder, I decided to run home instead of finishing my initial trail) and completely forgot to start and stop my watch so I have no idea how long it took me. It was a good run, a little of walking but most of all was a good steady run. I’m not in good shape but I am in decent shape so I’m not allowing myself to get frustrated; instead I am reminding myself that I am closer to my goal! |
