A lot going on this week and next week so I wanted to make sure I was still improving. I ran 6 miles, nonstop in about 56 minutes. Not great time but I was able to complete it. I was tired afterwards but not dead; which is a really good sign! I am moving on Monday so my running will be on hold until the move is done. Starting Monday the 26th-all I have to do is work and run, so I will step up my running game. In the meantime, I am working on a new running schedule to make sure I am ready for the race in January!

Take care

Today I ran right after work and it was absolutely disgusting outside. This time of year it is extremely difficult running outside due to the rain (and when it isn’t raining) the humidity. But, I ran (without stopping) my entire route. It was quite difficult but definitely a stepping-stone. Towards the end of my run, the wind started blowing and my body started to feel much better.

 One step closer…

My life has finally calmed down…well until Monday when I get the keys to my new apartment and have to start the moving process but until then my number one focus is my training. I am running a marathon in January so; needless to say, I have A LOT of training to do between now and then. My goal for this race is to finish under 4 hours. I have only run one full before and my time was 4:34. I have faith in myself that I can achieve my goal time.

It has rained so much this month and there is no sign of it slowing down so I had to come to terms with the fact that I am going to get dirty when I run. (Not a big fan of running through puddles and mud) I took a new trail today and ran more on the bayou and sidewalk. My puddles weren’t too bad and there wasn’t too much mud so I am sticking to this trail for a while. I ran a little short of 4 miles (due to thunder, I decided to run home instead of finishing my initial trail) and completely forgot to start and stop my watch so I have no idea how long it took me. It was a good run, a little of walking but most of all was a good steady run. I’m not in good shape but I am in decent shape so I’m not allowing myself to get frustrated; instead I am reminding myself that I am closer to my goal!
